Become an EF Exchange School

EF Foundation is proud to work with over 1,400 great schools across the US. Our schools are all committed to promoting global awareness and international understanding by welcoming exchange students into their classrooms.

EF Foundation schools are both public and private institutions who will accept anywhere from 1-25 exchange students. We work closely with each school to familiarize you with the exchange process and what quantity and profile of exchange student would best succeed in your environment. Our trained local coordinators are responsible for working with their school(s) throughout the exchange year, and our national staff in Cambridge, MA, is available to school 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“Our exchange student, Yoko, had such a wonderful influence on the school that the students asked to start a Japanese Club. It’s one of the biggest clubs at the school now and we have Yoko to thank for that.” - Joyce, School Liaison, Virginia
